Dog Poop in My Worm Bin

Dog poop in my worm bin

It’s been said that having a dog is like having a child.  They come with many of the same responsibilities and leave lots of messes to clean up after!  It’s a labor of love, but is there more to it?

Can all that poop be upcycled into useful feed for hungry compost worms?

Many owners do their best to feed their dogs something of a natural diet.  For a carnivore, that means meat. Today’s domesticated dogs no longer eat much raw meat but are omnivorous, fed both processed meat and grains in the form of kibble or canned dog food instead.

Since we know that what goes in also comes out, we consider dog feces to be full of animal protein and therefore a no-no for the worm bin.
